Net long positions on WTI rose by the most in 2017 - CFTC

The data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday showed the non-commercial contracts of WTI crude futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, rose 44,037 contracts; it’s biggest one week increase since December 13th 2016. 

The total net positions now stand at 372,989 contracts in the data reported for the week ended May 23.
