NZD/USD hovering around 0.7800

FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD rallied during yesterday after the Reserve Bank of New Zealand statement and it rose further during the Asian session reaching at 0.7870 the highest level in a week.

Afterward pulled back almost a hundred pips until it found support at 0.7775. Since the beginning of the American session remains steady hovering around 0.7800, consolidating post RBNZ gains but far from the highs.

The rally pushed NZD/USD to positive territory for the week and is now headed toward the first weekly gain since early November on the back of a strong kiwi, that jumped against currencies like the aussie and the loonie. AUD/NZD bottomed today at 1.0533, the lowest price since March while NZD/CAD managed to climbed back above 0.9000.
